Your Family is Our Priority
A white smile is often associated with a healthy mouth. Teeth can discolour for many reasons, the most common being:
• Drinking Coffee, Tea, Wine or Soft Drinks
• Natural Aging
• Smoking or Tobacco Use
• Damaged or Dead Root Tissue
• Root Canal Therapy
You don’t have to simply live with a discoloured smile, especially when the teeth whitening process at Penetang Dental has become so easy, effective and safe. Teeth whitening is a mild bleaching process that restores stained or discoloured teeth to a healthy, natural appearing colour.
The Whitening Process
First, we will make impressions of your teeth so that our lab can create custom whitening trays to fit your mouth. These trays will guide the whitening agent to the areas of your teeth that need to be whitened. Once the trays and whitening agent are ready, you will be able to wear them at home until the desired colour is reached.
While specific results depend on the original colour of your teeth and how frequently the treatment is applied, most patients see results after the first night. Many patients choose to touch-up their teeth every 6 to 12 months by applying the treatment for 1 or 2 nights. These touch-ups are especially useful for patients that smoke or continue to drink coffee and tea.
Do you ever wish your teeth were straighter, whiter and better aligned? If you could make your teeth appear flawless, would you? Our office can create custom veneers to improve your smile. Veneers are custom porcelain facings that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are made to match the shape of your mouth and the whiteness level that you desire. Veneers serve many purposes and can be used to:
• Straighten Crooked Teeth
• Close Gaps in Teeth
• Brighten Dark, Yellow, Permanently Stained Teeth
• Repair Broken or Chipped Teeth
• Enhance Your Overall Smile
To perform the procedure, the thickness of the veneer is "smoothed" off the natural tooth surface and the veneer is bonded to the tooth. The result feels and looks natural. Call us today to learn more about the procedures we offer.
